Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue 5k Run and Walk

Benefit: Join us at the 3rdAnnual 5k Run and Walk to benefit Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue! Well behaved dogs who are current on their rabies vaccination and leashed may participate in the run and walk.
Time: 10:30AM Registration will occur at the Cornwall Trailhead.
11:00AM - 5k Run and Walk will begin at the Cornwall Trailhead.
12:15 - Top three 5k Run finishers and door prize winners will be announced.
Fees: October 30 and Earlier: $25 to run or walk
After October 30: $30 to run or walk
All fees are non-refundable. Online registration is available on the dvgrr website. Register by October 14 to get a 5k t-shirt. The event will occur rain or shine. All proceeds go to Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue.
Course: The event will occur on the beautiful and flat Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Starting at the Cornwall Trailhead, the 5k run and walk will proceed for 1.6 miles toward Lebanon and then turn around and go back. The Trail will remain open to the public during the event so please run and walk to the right and pass to the left. A water station for humans and dogs will be available at the 0.5 mile marker and the turn around point. Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue thanks the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail for the use of the Trail during this event. Dog owners are expected to clean up after their dogs.
Post Race: Water for humans and dogs, fruit, and granola bars will be available at the finish line. The top three 5k run finishers will receive a gift bag. The 5k run results will be posted on dvgrr.org. Door prizes will be announced.

Directions and Parking: From the southeast (Philadelphia):
Take Interstate 76 West to Exit 266 - Lebanon-Lancaster exit. After toll booths, turn left onto PA-72. Make sure to stay on PA-72 toward Lebanon. At the next light, turn right on PA-419 and proceed into Cornwall. After the five corner intersection in Cornwall, proceed straight and turn left to stay on PA-419. You should see the Cornwall Trailhead kiosk (a large barrel is behind it) on your left just before the left turn. Almost immediately after turning left, you will turn left again into the Trailhead parking lot.

From the west:
Take Interstate 76 East to Exit 266 - Lebanon-Lancaster exit. After toll booths, turn left onto PA-72. Make sure to stay on PA-72 toward Lebanon. From the northeast (New Jersey):
Take Interstate 78 West. Take Exit 13 – PA-501S.
Follow PA-501S for about 14 miles. Turn right onto PA-419 and continue for about 6 miles to Cornwall.
After you pass the Cornwall Trailhead kiosk on your left, make an immediate left into the Trailhead parking lot.

Overflow parking will be available at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 2596 Cornwall Road. Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue thanks the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish for the use of their parking lot during this event.
