Turkey Trot Race Day:
The 4th Annual Matawan Turkey Trot 5K race and fitness walk will be held on Nov. 28th, 2009. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and race time will be at 10 a.m. followed by a free kiddy dash for the young future runners. The 5K course is an officially certified course through historic Matawan which will include a mix of flat terrain to moderate hills, including neighborhoods and lake views. Early registration is $15 (before 11/10); on site registration will be $20. The family festive atmosphere of the Turkey Trot will include music, refreshments for all participants and awards in many categories. All proceeds from this event go directly back to the refurbishment of Matawan?s parks! Collections for the Matawan Food Pantry will be located at the event!
