| The Event:: |
The 15th Annual Kilometers for Karyn combines a fun, competitive event with a worthy cause. Since 1997, Kilometers for Karyn has honored the life of Karyn Glick by providing much needed financial assistance to those organizations that fight children's leukemia and pediatric cancer.
Degnan Park is located next to West Orange High School. Come join us for a fun-filled family event where there is truly something for everyone--a 5K run, a 2-mile walk and a Fun Run for the kids. All events finish in Degnan Park, and all participants are treated to a wide array of amenities.

Fees: 5K Race/3K Walk: $18. (USATF $16.) by 5/29; $20. thereafter and on Race day; Kids' Run: $7.
Schedule: Packet Pick-Up: 7:00-8:45a.m.; Kids Run until 9:30a.m.
Start Times: 5K Run/2 Mile Walk: 9:00a.m.; Kids Run 9:45a.m..
Course: USATF certified (5K) on residential streets and stadium track.2 water stops, clocks at each mile. Mostly flat, out and back.
Awards:5k - Top 3 overall, male & female; Top 3 in each age group, male & female
Age groups 14 & under to 85 & over in 5 year increments.
Walk & Kids Run ribbons to all finishers. |

| Who Benefits?: |
The Karyn Research Fund has committed itself to supporting the research program of the Hackensack University Medical Center by raising over $300,000. Grants from The Karyn Research Fund will be utilized to establish Pediatric Genetic Oncology laboratories.
The primary aims of the program will be the early detection, improved treatment, and ultimately, prevention of pediatric cancers, in the hope and anticipation that one day soon a tolerable and effective cure will be found in the hope that no one will lose another daughter, son, sibling, friend or valued member of our community to leukemia. |
| Team and Pledge Prizes: |
Ask Friends and family to help fight leukemia and Pediatric cancer by raising pledge dollars. When you raise money, we'll treat you to a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble Booksellers equal to 10% of what you raise. Special prizes to largest raising corporate teams. |
